The Global Health Section (GHS) at the Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen invites applications for an academic employee (bachelor level) for 18,5 months starting from 15 June 2023.

Your job

As part of the tasks, the candidate is expected to support the team working on a Novo Nordisk Foundation funded project on digital education in India. The team consists of staff from Public Health and the Centre for Online and Blended Learning (COBL) anchored in the section of Study Affairs at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.

We expect the candidate to mainly support activities related to educational research and further to assist when needed e.g. helping with the project meetings, arranging networking, and other administrative tasks.

Profile

We are looking for an ambitious and highly dedicated academic employee with the following competencies and experience:

Essential experience and skills

  • You are currently enrolled in a master program - psychology, global development, or any discipline relevant to digital education
  • Experienced in literature search and thematic analysis
  • Experienced user of the reference management system Zotero
  • You have a collaborative mindset and at the same time comfortable working independently
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement, as well as excellent writing skills
Desirable experience and skills

  • Experience in supporting project coordination is an advantage
  • Experience in supporting project reporting is an advantage
  • Knowledge about education of health professions in low- and middle-income countries, especially India
  • Knowledge about digital education in low- and middle-income countries, especially India
Place of employment

The place of employment is at Department of Public Health, Global Health Section, University of Copenhagen. We offer creative and stimulating working conditions in a dynamic and international research environment.

Terms of employment

The average weekly working hours are 43 hours per month.

The position is a fixed-term position for the period 15-06-2023 to 31-12-2024.

Employment will be in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations). The monthly salary will be based on the number of years of work experience (seniority) with the possibility to negotiate a salary supplement based on prior experiences and qualifications. The employer will pay an additional 17.1 % to your pension fund.
